About our Pastor

Bishop Wortham was born to Bishop Presley Wortham and Mother Louella Wortham. His father was one of the founding Bishops of the Greater Emmanuel Apostolic Faith Churches, under the late Apostle Quander L. Wilson. Bishop Presley Wortham faithfully served Apostle Wilson until he went to glory in 1981.

Bishop Wortham spent many of his summers serving and driving for Apostle Wilson. Much training for ministry was gained during the time spent with one of the most influential persons in Bishop's life. Hearing the call to ministry at a very early age, Bishop sought to gain knowledge in church work. During his late teens and early 20's, Bishop came together with (Apostle) Robert Evans, (Dr.) Alfreda Wiggins, (Bishop) Pompey Swann and others to form a ministerial alliance called COMPEL. This group met regularly to study God's Word and to perfect their preaching and teaching abilities. Out of this group, all but one went on to pastor successful ministries.

While Bishop was in the Greater Emmanuel Churches, he served in various capacities: Statistician, Recording Secretary, Youth President, and Member of the Board of Bishops. Apostle Wilson laid hands on Bishop for each of his elevations, from Minister to Elder, to Pastor and then to Bishop. It was March of 2003 that God gave Bishop a dream. The Lord confirmed His Word to him to start the International Fellowship Council of Churches.

On September 15, 2006, Bishop Wortham graduated from the Oxford Graduate School. He received a Ph.D. in Religion and Sociology, with an emphasis on Leadership and Church Growth. Bishop is keenly aware of the importance of academia in relationship to developing strong organizations. He uses his studies to further the growth of churches throughout the country.

The call of God has taken Bishop Wortham throughout the United States, Europe, Africa and the Caribbean Islands to minister healing to the sick, deliverance to the oppressed and give encouragement to the Body of Christ.

We invite you to become a part of the church today and a piece of its history tomorrow.
